Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights Scholarships, The Geneva Academy offers partial and full scholarships for its LLM in International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights and Master of Advanced Studies in Transitional Justice, Human Rights and the Rule of Law. Partial scholarships cover tuition fees. Full scholarships cover tuition fees and living expenses in Geneva for 10 months.

Target group:

International students. Applicants from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United States and Western Europe can only be considered for partial scholarships.

Number of Scholarships:

The number of annual scholarships depends on the availability of funds.

Scholarship value/duration:

Full scholarships cover tuition fees (CHF 18,000) and living expenses in Geneva for 10 months. Partial scholarships cover tuition fees (CHF 18,000).

Eligibility:

Partial and full scholarships are allocated through a highly competitive process based on academic merit, extra-curricular achievements, and the candidate’s financial needs. Applicants from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United States and Western Europe can only be considered for partial scholarships.

Application instructions:

Applications open 19 November 2019.

Scholarship requests must be submitted with the candidate’s application. When applying, candidates must choose between two tracks: application with scholarship (partial or full) or application without a scholarship. If candidates apply to both tracks, their application will be considered under the non-scholarship track. Successful applicants who choose only the non-scholarship track cannot subsequently be considered for a scholarship. Deadline for applications is 1 February 2019.
