In an effort to build their competitive eSport program, a university in Ohio is recruiting top-tier Fornite players and offering them a $4,000 scholarship. According to TechCrunch, Ashland University has a sizeable eSports competitive program, with dedicated teams for games like League of Legends, Overwatch, Rocket League, and Counter Strike: Global Offensive.

Those interested in applying to join their eSport program can do so online via Ashland University’s eSport Prospective Student Athlete Recruitment Form. Good luck!

Fornite Easter Eggs

There are a number of Easter Eggs you can easily miss while running around the big world of Fornite Battle Royale. Here are seven of the most interesting, entertaining, and downright mysterious ones we have found.

1_Meeting of the great minds:

After dropping off the Battle Bus, ahead of the east of Anarchy Acres. As you get closer to Wailing Woods, look for a patch of dirt between two hills. Land there to find a circle of chairs along with a teddy bear sitting in the second chair and a scarecrow overlooking a chest in the middle. What could this meeting have been about? Who are the empty chairs for? So many questions, barely any answers.

2_Playing soccer at the stadium:

Enter the inside of the soccer stadium and look for the ball at the center of the field. Run into the ball to kick it and let it roll into the goal to have fanfare play and confetti spring out. Careful though, the celebration is pretty loud and can alert other players in the area. To get there, look west of Tilted Towers and look for the stadium near the gas station and the taco shop.

3_Gnome in the wall:

If you are lucky, you may get the chance to see a small Easter Egg when you build using the stone material. Every so often a gnome will appear wedged between some of the bricks in your wall. There is nothing you can do with it and it cannot be collected for the Season 3 challenge, but it’s awesome nonetheless.

4_The lone transformer:

Have you ever traveled the roads to the east of Retail Row? At one of the intersections appears what looks like a stack of cars. Upon closer inspection, the car tower actually forms what looks like a giant robot. If you build to the top, you may be rewarded with a chest.

5_The umbrella cave:

As you drop down towards Anarchy Acres in the northern part of the map, look to the east to spot the nearby mining area. Does the shape of it look familiar? That’s right, it’s in the shape of an umbrella! This area is an excellent source of stone, and there is a chance of chests spawning here as well.

6_Chilling at the car towers:

To find this, hop off the Battle Bus and head towards the southern portion of the map. Aim for the empty piece of land to the east of Lucky Landing and west of Moisty Mire. There you will find a stack of cars with a chest on the top. You will also find a lone cargo crate with a lounge chair and chest overlooking the tower and ocean.

7_The mysterious meteor:

Ever since Season 3 began and the space and cosmos theme went into effect, a comet appeared in the sky that has been increasingly growing into a full-on meteor shower as days go by. Fans have even compiled theories suggesting it will heat and destroy Tilted Towers at the end of Season. As of right now, it is anyone’s guess.
