To qualify for Florida Academic Scholars FAS, students must have

• A 3.5 weighted GPA.
• On ACT, a minimum score of 29.

1. Florida Medallion Scholars (FMS)

Florida Medallion Scholars is less competitive as compared to Florida Academic Scholars. The eligibility requirements are also slightly lowered as compared to FAS. But students still have the recommended CGPA and must pass a set of courses at high school. Other requirements of test score criteria are also slightly different. Florida Medallion Scholars (FMS) can receive an award that covers 75% of tuition fees and other educational expenses at any private or public institute. Students have to pay the Remaining 25% of the tuition fee. Hence, if you cannot qualify for the FAS, you can still manage your expenses with the Florida Medallion Scholar program (FMS).

Eligibility requirements

To obtain Florida medallion scholars, you must fulfill the following eligibility requirements.

• Hold a minimum 3.0 GPA
• A score of 25 on SAT
• Or 1210 on SAT
